Ornelas to swim at U.S. Winter Nationals Friday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's swimming and diving graduate student Micah Ornelas (San Diego, Calif.) will compete at the U.S. Winter National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Friday.

In his first season with the Black and Gold, Ornelas will compete in the 100 fly and the 100 breast. He enters the championships seeded 15th in the 100 fly with a time of 54.46 and seeded 37th in the 100 breast with a time of 58.29.

Ornelas has swam in the Speedo Champions Series, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships and the Hawaiian Swimming Senior Fall Championships during his career. This fall, he has won 15 events, including each of the first 12 of his Bulldog career.
