Bulldogs Fall to UMass on Senior Day
SMITHFIELD, R.I./AMHERST, Mass.- The Bryant swimming and diving teams celebrated Senior Day on Sunday, competing on both the men's and women's sides against Massachusetts. The Bulldogs fell in both, 170-130 (men) and 182-118 (women).
Griffin Lajoie was Bryant's top swimmer on the day, winning three individual events and a relay. Alex Rowson, Conner Lofstrom, Leo Luna, and Reagan Lord each won a pair of events for the Bulldogs, who took a combined 16 victories in the meet.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

Bryant's first win came in the men's 200 medley relay, as Lajoie, Rowson, Lofstrom, and Roman San Juan combined on a time of 1:35.76.

Lajoie would pick up individual event wins in the 100 back (51.34), 200 back (1:54.00), and 100 fly (52.95).

The Bulldogs earned their first event sweep in the 1000 free, as Makayla Pearce (10:49.23) and Leo Luna (9:44.43) each took first.

Jill Carline took first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:56.09.

Lord combined with Lajoie for an event sweep in the 100 back winning with a time of 57.25. They would repeat the feat in the 200, where Lord hit the wall at 2:07.08.

Lofstrom won the 50 free in a photo finish, swimming a time of 22.10, .01 seconds ahead of the Minutemen's Sammy Quigg.

Rowson won the 100 free, swimming a time of 48.01.

Luna took his second win of the day in the 500 free with a time of 4:46.70.

Julia Stenhard won the 100 fly with a time of 57.92, combining with Lajoie for the Bulldogs' fourth event sweep of the meet.
What's next: Bryant will hit the road in two weeks when they travel south to take on Marist on January 21.
