Bulldog Men Lead After First Day of America East Championships

WORCESTER, Mass.- The Bryant swimming and diving teams got off to a strong start on Wednesday at the America East Championships, winning four silver medals across diving and relay competition. Their strong start puts them each in the top two heading into a full day of competition on Thursday.

Drew Arnold, Kyri Chambo, and the women's 800 free and 200 medley relay teams all won silver on the opening night. The men's team leads after the first three events, taking two fourth place finishes along with Arnold's silver in the one-meter dive.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • The women's 800 free relay team of Erin Doruska, Reagan Lord, Charlee LeGallais, and Jill Carline took home the Bulldogs' first medal, swimming a 7:27.65 to earn silver in the opening relay.

  • The men's 800 free quartet of Conner Lofstrom, Roman San Juan, Andrew Gamper, and Chase Konstantakos opened the finals with a fourth place swim of 6:42.91.

  • Bryant picked up their second relay silver in the women's 200 medley, as Lord, Nellie Clark, Julia Stenhard, and Laurel Carey swam a 1:41.42.

  • The men's 200 medley again finished fourth, with Griffin Lajoie, Alex Rowson, Mason Campbell, and Lofstrom swimming a 1:29.45.

  • Drew Arnold placed second in the one-meter dive with a score of 283.10. Chris Buonocore and Nathan Sideris also qualified for finals, placing fourth and eighth.

  • Kyri Chambo won silver in the women's three-meter, scoring a 243.25. Sydney Barnett placed fourth in the event with a 220.90.
