SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's tennis team hosted Boston University for an exhibition dual-match on Saturday, resulting in a Bulldog, 12-5, team victory.

The Black and Gold wrapped up their fall season by dominating in singles, winning eight of the 11 matches, while posting a 4-2 record in doubles play.

Senior Max Vogt (Fair Oaks, Calif.) was strong in singles, defeating Stef Lemire, while junior Oliver Welsh (San Diego, Calif.) conquered his competitor Jay Lee Lavanich.

The Bulldogs' top three doubles teams, consisting of Vogt/ Luke Lorenz (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Michael Plutt (Weston, Fla.) / Nick Lamart (Raleigh, N.C.) and Josh Kliger (Newport Beach, Calif.) / Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) all won their respective contests, showing positive signs for matches to come in the spring.

"There was an overall good effort from the team to end the fall campaign," said head coach Ron Gendron. "I was pleased with the development of the men this fall. Looking forward to the rest of the fall and early winter, we will direct our focus on strength, in preparation for a busy spring."

Tentatively, the Bulldogs will open their competitive spring season at Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 16.
