Go Local Prov names Kuhar Smithfield's All-Time Greatest Athlete

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Following a Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year performance in 2015, Go Local Prov named redshirt sophomore Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) of the Bryant University men's tennis team Smithfield's Best Athlete of All-Time.

Despite not appearing in the 2015-16 season due to injury, Kuhar served up a memorable freshman campaign that included an 18-9 overall record and a 9-6 mark at No. 1 singles, making him the most successful rookie in Bryant tennis history.

Kuhar finished with a number of accolades, including All-NEC Second Team at No. 1 doubles, was a two-time NEC Player of the Week, a two-time ECAC Player of the Week and a four-time NEC Rookie of the Week.
