"We are looking forward to playing one of the top teams in the region this weekend.  It gives us an opportunity to compete in their wonderful facility and it's always a learning experience.  We are hopeful to bring some of the grit we showed against Brown to our second Ivy League opponent of the season."

  • Harvard owns a 4-0 lead in the all-time series between the two schools.
  • Last year, the Bulldogs won two points against the Crimson for the first time in the series history.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • The Bulldogs will enter Sunday's match with a 2-5 record so far this spring. Last weekend, Bryant fell to Brown, 5-2.
  • Redshirt junior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) improved to 9-5 on the year with a three-set victory at No. 1 singles.
  • Last season, Kuhar won in three sets to claim one of Bryant's two points against the Crimson.
  • Bryant's other point last weekend against Brown came in doubles. Kuhar and junior Artur Jakubowski (Dallas, Texas) won at No. 1, while freshman Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and senior Luke Lorenz (Colorado Springs, Colo.) won at No. 3.

Scouting the Crimson

  • Harvard opened its spring season last weekend with victories over Southern Methodist (4-3) and UTA (6-1).
  • Grant Solomon has won each of his last 11 singles matches and is 11-2 overall on the year. In doubles, he is 2-1 when teamed with Andrew Ball. Their only loss came to Jorge Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Calif.) and younger brother Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Calif.) in September.
  • Logan Weber (10-1) and Andy Zhou (11-5) are the other two singles players that have posted double-digit wins this year.
