Dong named NEC Player of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men's tennis sophomore Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week on Thursday.

Dong comes off a dominant week with two straight set wins at #2 singles. The sophomore first downed All-MAC player Kushaan Nath of Binghamton (6-1, 6-3), then dropped Colgate's Noah Rosenblat (6-4, 6-2) in a pair of Bulldog wins. He also teamed with Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) to post a 6-2 win at #1 doubles against the Bearcats. Dong and Kuhar entered the ITA doubles rankings at #38 this week to become the first charting NEC team in league history. The Bradenton, FL product has now won five straight singles matches entering play this week.
