April 22, 2007                  Game 1 Box         Game 2 Box

The Bryant Softball program honored the team's six seniors Sunday afternoon, but Le Moyne crashed the party and took two games from the Bulldogs by identical 5-2 scores at the Bryant Softball Complex.

In game one, junior Janine Enos (Wareham, Mass.) took a no-hitter into the fifth inning before Emma Murphy knocked a double off the wall with one out. Le Moyne went on to tie the game on an Ashley Spaziani RBI single before erupting for three more in the sixth. Murphy would drive in another run in the sixth to put the Dolphins up for good.

The Bulldogs mounted a rally in the sixth, loading the bases with no one out. Pinch-hitter Lauren McNiff Westford, Mass.) knocked a check-swing single through the right side to score a run, but Le Moyne reliever Jennifer Farrelly wiggled out of the jam by returning the next three batters.

In game two, the Dolphins jumped on Bryant starter Nikki Ingalls (Westford, Mass.) with four runs in the top of the third. The Bulldogs got one run back on a Lindsay Connor (West Haven, CT) RBI single in the bottom of the inning, but the Dolphins got it right back in the fourth.

In between games, head coach Lisa-Ann Wallace honored the 2007 senior class of Ingalls, Connor, McNiff, Briana Durborow (Ringoes, NJ), Amanda Gagne (Wilbraham, Mass.),  and Amanda Wilbur (Lakeville, Mass.). The senior class holds seven major offensive school records and is the winningest in program history.

The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow, Monday the 23rd with a home doubleheader with Merrimack at 3pm.
