Bio

As a Junior: Couinard continued to be a staple in the Bryant lineup, starting all 42 games at shortstop for the Bulldogs. The junior captain finished the year batting .215, which put her sixth on the team while driving in 12 runs and hitting seven doubles. Chouinard was also second on the team in runs scored with 14, and hit two more home runs this season to give her 12 for her career, putting her second on the all-time home run list. She led the team in multi-hit games with eight while tying for the team-lead in sacrifice bunts with six. Chouinard was also solid defensively committing only nine errors in 183 chances, good for a .953 fielding percentage. She had three multi-RBI games, including going two-for-three with two RBI in a win over Brown.

As a Sophomore: Chouinard finished her sophomore season tied for third on the team with a .306 batting average while starting in all 46 games for the Bulldogs at shortstop. Her .479 slugging percentage was second to teammate Kate Thomas, while her team-leading 30 runs scored ranked her 14th in the Northeast-10 Conference. Alison also tied for the team lead in total bases with 69 while hitting four homeruns and driving in 19. Her team-leading 13 doubles also ranked her 10th in the conference. Defensively, Chouinard was solid up the middle, leading the team with 111 assists while committing just 18 errors, good for a .908 fielding percentage.

As a Freshman: Chouinard emerged as one of the team's best hitters as a freshman, finishing near the top of almost every major offensive category. Her 61 total bases, 445 slugging percentage, 26 RBI and six home runs were second only to 2007 NE-10 Player of the Year Amanda Wilbur.Her four stolen bases were also good for fourth on the team and tops among all returners.Chouinard also started all but one game at shortstop, compiling a .983 fielding percentage.

Before Bryant: Alison is a 2006 graduate of Joseph Case High School where she was a four year player at shortstop. In 2004, she was a member of the 45-2 National Championship team at Case and the Cardinals were ranked in the Massachusetts Top-20 each year she played. A four-sport star, she also played soccer, track, and volleyball and was named Case's Female Athlete of the Year. Alison was a member of the National Honor Society.
