As a Freshman: McCart started in 38 games in center field for the Bulldogs as a freshman while appearing in 40 of Bryant's 42 games. She finished third on the team in hitting with a .248 average, tallying 25 hits on the year including five doubles. McCart drove in nine runs to tie her for fourth on the team in RBI while playing great defense; not committing an error all season long. She had a big day in a doubleheader against Central Connecticut on April 1, going two-for-three with two runs scored and two RBI in game one while going one-for-two with an RBI in game two. McCart registered her first four-hit game of her career on April 23 against Brown, going four-for-four with three runs scored and two RBI in game one of a doubleheader.

Before Bryant: Lauren is a 2008 graduate of Eastern Regional where she was a four year member of the varsity softball team. She earned All Conference honors all four years. In 2005 she had the highest batting average on her team, boasting a .365. She was a four year member of the honor roll and was a varsity scholar athlete in 2005.

Personal: Lauren Danica McCart was born June 27, 1990. She is the daughter of Ray and Donna McCart. Her Aunt Devon played softball for Rutgers University. Lauren is a Business Management major.
