Hudson has six hits as Bulldogs fall to SHU on Sunday

Smithfield, R.I. - Aleix Hudson of the Bryant Univeristy softball team went 4-for-4 in game one and had six hits total on the day in the Bulldogs losses to Sacred Heart. The Black and Gold fell 10-6 and 12-3 in both games.

• The Pioneers score five runs in the top of the fifth to take a one-run lead.

How it Happened (Game 1)

• In the top of the first, the Pioneers scored the game's first run on a double (1-0).
• Morgan Powell hit a leadoff single in the bottom of the first. Aleix Hudson brought in Powell by hitting a double to right field (1-0). Carlyn Hernandez singled, advancing Hudson to third. The Bulldogs then scored two runs on an Erica Barley double (3-1).
• In the top of the third SHU, hit an RBI single to right field (3-2).
• Hudson began the bottom of the third with a single. Barley then doubled down the left-field line putting runners on the corners. Gianna Ceccarelli and Trystan Salvador both hit RBI singles to give the Black and Gold a three-run lead (5-2).
• In the bottom of the fourth, Powell hit another leadoff double followed by a Hudson single. Barley then grounded out to third, bringing in a run (6-2).
• Sacred Heart scored five runs on a bases-loaded walk, RBI single, fielder's choice, and a Bulldog throwing error in the top of the fifth (7-6).
• In the top of the sixth, the Pioneers brought in two runs on a single to center field (9-6).
• SHU scored the final run of the game on a wild pitch (10-6).

• The Pioneers scored ten runs on four bases-loaded walks, a throwing error, a single, and a three-run home run (10-0).
• In the bottom of the first, Powell singled up the middle, and Hudson doubled to right, putting runners on second and third. Barley singled and Alexandra Hickey hit a sacrifice fly to center (10-2).
• Hudson hit a leadoff single, and Hernadez was walked in the bottom of the third. Ceccarelli doubled to left field, scoring one run (10-3).
• In the top of the fourth Sacred Heart, hit a solo home run and an RBI single (12-3).
