Bulldogs drop two at Mercer Invitational

MACON, GA - On Friday, the Bryant University softball team fell to Morehead State and Troy at the Mercer Bear Invitational.

Kylie Kenney tallied eleven strikeouts, and Aleix Hudson hit her second home run of the season against Morehead State.

Alexis Clancy recorded her first home run of the year versus Troy.

• After the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth, the Eagles tallied five runs during the top of the sixth.

How it Happened (Gm1)

• Olyvia Smith, Hudson, and Megan Marcel all drew walks, which led to Clancy being walked with the bases loaded, bringing home a run (1-0).
• The Eagles responded with a solo home run in the top of the fifth to tie the game at one.
• Clancy hit a one-out single and was pinch-ran for by Laniya Lewis, who stole the second and third bases. Lewis was brought home on a sac fly from Alexis Larrow in the bottom of the fifth (2-1).
• During the top of the sixth inning, Morhead State scored five runs on a solo home run, three walks, and a wild pitch (6-2).
• Hudson launched a solo shot to left-center in the bottom of the sixth (6-3).
