Bulldogs win series with 8-4 home win against Binghamton
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – On Sunday, the Bryant University softball team defeated Binghamton 8-4 to earn an America East series victory at Conaty Park.
Megan Marcel and Hannah Cochran had two RBIs each, while Makenna Coleman posted three hits and an RBI.

- The Bulldogs scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning to regain the lead.
How it Happened
- With one out in the bottom of the second, McKenzie McAloon hit a single, and then Makenna Coleman hit a triple to left field, scoring McAloon. Then Coleman scored herself after a throwing error from the Bearcats (2-0).
- Binghamton scored four runs in the top of the third inning on a double and single to take the lead (4-2).
- Aleix Hudson began the bottom of the third inning with a double and advanced to third on a passed ball, setting up Megan Marcel, who hit an RBI single to center field (4-3). Alexis Larrow then hit a double to the gap, bringing home Hudson (4-4).
- Coleman drew a walk, and then Hannah Cochran knocked a double, giving the Bulldogs two runs (6-4).
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Hudson earned a walk and then moved to second and third on a wild pitch and sacrifice bunt. Marcel then hit a sac fly (7-4).
- During the bottom of the fifth inning, Olyvia Smith was walked, and Alexis Clancy hit a single through the right side, setting up Hudson, who hit an RBI double to left-center (8-4), scoring the game's last run.
