Marcel and Coleman earn AE Weekly Awards

BOSTON, MASS. On Tuesday afternoon, Megan Marcel and Makenna Coleman were named the America East Player and Rookie of the Week by the organization.

Marcel went 4-7 at the plate in the series against UAlbany, tallying three home runs, including a grand slam and eight RBIs. She tallied a slugging percentage of 1.857 and a batting average of .571. She is now fifth in RBIs (25) and HRs with five.

Coleman tallied a .583 batting average last week and extended her hitting streak to eight games as she went 7-12 with two RBIs, two doubles, and a triple. She recorded a .917 slugging percentage of .917. 

This is Marcel's and Colemans' first Player and Rookie of the Week awards.
