Foley claims 1500 at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In addition to its outstanding performance at the Colonial Relays, the Bryant University track and field team also excelled at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational over the weekend.

The Bulldogs finished 13th in the women's team standings and 14th in the men's.

Senior Francis Foley (Acton, Mass.) highlighted the meet with a first-place finish in the 1500. He beat out 44 other runners with a time of 4:15.02.

Other Top Performers

Frankie Ray (Westport, Mass.) finished seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.78m. He also went on to finish ninth in the long jump with a distance of 5.76m.

Casey Mackisey (Warwick, R.I.) finished seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 37.45m.

Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) finished fifth in the 1500 with a time of 5:15.82.

Rebecca Varney (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Rebecca Goulet-Martel (Montreal, Quebec) finished 6-7 in the 100m hurdles with times of 17.35 and 17.86, respectively.
