Cluck earns NEC Track Athlete of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. – Senior Emily Cluck (Johnson City, N.Y.) of the Bryant University women's track and field team earned the NEC Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Cluck shined at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic this past weekend. In the 400m, Cluck racked up the accolades after finishing second out of 139 runners on Friday with a time of 54.88. The 400m performance is a new school record and now ranks her first in the NEC and 40th in the country in the event. The record-breaking time also qualified her for both the NEICAAA and ECAC Championships. Cluck also helped Bryant's 4x400 relay team of Nicole Xiarhos (Berlin, Conn.), Emma Garrity (Wilmington, Mass.), and Grace Yost (Wanaque, N.J.) set a new school record with a time of 3:56.77.
