Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Emma Garrity holds the NEC's top time in the 500 this season. Her 1:15.34 at the Brown meet shattered the school record and is the only time under 1:16 this season. She will be competing in the 600 meters tomorrow.

  • Will Remkiewicz's run of 49.58 in the 400 last weekend was the third highest in the conference this year. It also qualified him for the New England Championships later this year. He will be competing in the 60 and 200 meter dashes tomorrow.

  • Both men and women will have teams in the 4000 meter DMR relay for the first time this season. Sarah Freeman will be running in the DMR and individual 800 meters; she was a cross country all-conference selection in the fall.

  • Brett Cloutier currently holds the NEC's fifth best distance in shot put this season. He recorded a 15.63 meter throw at the Bryant Throws Competition earlier this month. He will look to improve on that mark this weekend.

  • The Bulldogs have had four athletes qualify for the NEICAAA New England championships so far this season: Remkiewicz (400m), Garrity (500m), Cloutier (shot put), and Lois Warden (pole vault).
