Hope Leads Bryant Performers at Providence Track Meets
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Bryant track and field teams competed at a pair of meets over the weekend, with three event wins and five school records set between Friday's Providence Friar Invitational and Saturday's Ocean State Invitational at Brown.

Jasmine Hope won a pair of events at Brown. She took the 100 meters with a Bryant record time of 12.02 seconds, and won the long jump with an NEC-best 5.91 meters.

Nick Alessandro took the Bulldogs' other event win of the weekend, throwing 62.62 meters in the javelin at Brown. His throw was the best for Bryant this season and the second best in the NEC.

Lois Warden set a new program record in the pole vault, placing second at Brown with a 3.65 meter mark. Her vault was the best in the NEC this season and gives her the program record in both indoor and outdoor pole vault. Shiliegh Martinez also finished top three at the event, placing third with a 3.35 meter vault.

Mason Jones tied the Bryant record in the men's pole vault, clearing the bar at 4.45 meters to place second in the event. His mark is fifth best in the conference.

Mike Marshall, Jr. equaled his best mark in the high jump, clearing the 1.95 meter bar for the second consecutive week. He finished second at the meet and holds the sixth best mark in the conference this season.

Ryan Slaney set a new program record in the 3000 meters at PC, finishing sixth in the event with a time of 8:33.14.

Laura Rizik placed second in the javelin at Brown, doing so with a best distance of 37.50, the second best throw in Bryant history seventh in the NEC this season.
