Five School Records Highlight BU Track Meet
BOSTON, Mass.- Five school records and five top-three finishes highlighted the Bryant track and field teams' efforts at this weekend's Terrier Classic at Boston University. The men's team finished the meet with three records and a pair of runner-up finishes, while the women set two records and had three third-place results.
The relay squads stepped up big for the Bulldogs, as the 4x400 and DMR teams combined for three fourth-place finishes, a third-place, and a pair of school records. John Bruder (shot put) and Mason Jones (pole vault) brought home Bryant's two second-place results.

Bruder finished second overall and set a new program record with a 16.07 meter throw in the shot put. Kasey Thomas and Anaya Harris placed fourth and fifth in the event for the women.

The women's 4x400 relay team of Emma Garrity, Ana Bertarelli, Grace Yost, and Savannah Pineda placed fourth and set a school record with a time of 3:50.80. The men's quartet of Will Remkiewicz, Ethan Ferraiola, Vincent Sivo, and Tobias Ruffo placed fourth, running a 3:18.09.

The men's DMR team of William Bittrich, Alex Petruso, Nolan Hickey, and Aidan Hickey placed fourth, setting a school record with a time of 9:53.11. The women's team of Emma Grzybinski, Ali Kairys, Marissa Crowley, and Jasmine Trott placed third with a time of 12:27.93.

Emma Green broke her own school record in the 60 meters, placing fourth with a time of 7.66.

Ryan Slaney set a new program record in the 5000 with a time of 14:41.17.

Emma Garrity also had a strong individual run in the 500, running a 1:15.08 to place third.

Mason Jones and Lois Warden each placed in the top three in the pole vault. Jones was second at 4.25 meters while Warden was third at 3.60 meters.
What's next: The Bulldogs will take on their first postseason meet this weekend, competing in the NEICAAA New England Championships on Thursday and Friday.
