The Bryant University women's basketball team heads to Buffalo, N.Y., for a showdown with Canisius, Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs will look to close out the final month of non-conference play on a winning note before opening league play on Jan. 4.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between Bryant and Canisius.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIFFINS

Canisius enters Saturday's action with a 3-4 overall record with just two non-league games remaining until beginning MAAC play on Dec. 21 vs. Quinnipiac. After opening the 2013-14 season winning three of their first four, the Golden Griffins have dropped their last three decisions, , most recently coming off a loss vs. St. Bonaventure on Wednesday.

Senior forward and Preseason All-MAAC Third Team selection Jamie Ruttle leads Canisius with 11.1 points per game in just over 20 minutes per contest. Classmate Jen Morabito, junior guard Kayla Hoohuli and sophomore guard Tiahana Mills all average 8 ppg, while Mills leads the team with 5.1 rebounds per game and 5.4 assists per game. The Golden Griffins average just over 60 ppg and have 10 players averaging 10 mpg or more.
