The Bryant University women's basketball team will wrap up a three-game road trip at LIU Brooklyn, Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs will look to get back on track after dropping the previous two contests.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the eighth meeting between Bryant and LIU Brooklyn with the Bulldogs holding a slight 4-3 advantage in the all-time series. Two weeks ago, the Black and Gold squeaked out a narrow victory over the Blackbirds in Smithfield, 72-66, thanks to 19 points and 13 rebounds from senior forward Naana Ankoma-Mensa. Bryant currently holds a two-game win streak against LIU dating back to last January.

SCOUTING THE BLACKBIRDS

LIU Brooklyn enters Saturday's contest with a 4-15 overall record, 2-6 against Northeast Conference opponents (9th place). Prior to dropping their last two contests in Brooklyn, the Blackbirds won two of three, picking up victories against Central Connecticut (Jan. 13) and Fairleigh Dickinson (1/20).

Senior forward Cleandra Roberts leads her team with 18.9 points per game, good for second in the NEC, to go along with a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Sophie Bhasin ranks second on LIU in scoring with 10.2 ppg (21st in NEC), while junior guard Kelly Robinson's 3.3 assists per game are 6th most in the league.

Similar to Bryant, LIU is one of the best rebounding teams in the conference, ranking fifth in offensive rebounds per game (13.5), second in rebounds allowed per game (33.7) and fourth in rebounding margin(+2.7). LIU also ranks third in steals per game (7.37)

Saturday marks the middle of a five-game homestand for the Blackbirds before they hit the road for five of their final seven contests.
