FULL GAME NOTES

ON TAP AT THE CHACE ATHLETIC CENTER
The Bryant University women's basketball team will wrap up the month of November when it welcomes Providence College to Smithfield on Sunday for the second of two games vs. in-state opponents this season. Tip is set for 1 p.m.

THE SERIES
Entering Sunday's contest, PC holds a 4-0 all-time series lead over the Bulldogs, 1-0 since Bryant joined the Division I ranks in 2008-09. The lone DI matchup came last November in Providence and it was all Friars from the get-go. Seven PC players scored in double figures en route to a 104-67 walloping where PC shot 17-of-33 from long range. Jenniqua Bailey paced Bryant with a team-high 17 points while Morgan Olander added 8 points and 7 rebounds.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
Selected to finish sixth in the 2014-15 BIG East Preseason Poll, the Friars enter Sunday's contest with a 1-4 record coming off a 72-56 loss at Dayton on Wednesday. Last season PC finished 7-23 overall, going 2-16 against BIG East opponents.

Despite the slow start, the Friars do return their top three scorers from a season ago in BIG Preseason pick senior forward Alexis Harris, senior guard Tori Rule, and sophomore guard Sarah Beal. Harris currently leads her team with 15.2 ppg to go along with 8.4 rpg, while Rule is averaging 14.2 ppg and a .321 shooting percentage from deep. Beal rounds out PC's double-digit scorers, putting up 10 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and 5.0 apg. As a team, the Friars average just over 63 points per contest and have seven players averaging at least 17 minutes per game.

LAST TIME OUT
Behind Breanna Rucker's (Cincinnati, Ohio) fourth-straight double double, the Bryant University women's basketball team took down in-state foe Brown, 67-60, Tuesday night at the Pizzatola Center.

The Bulldogs (4-1) fought back from an early hole, overcoming a tough shooting night to take down the Bears (1-3) in their home opener.

Rucker was once again the most dominant player on the floor, putting up a career-high 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting and 11 rebounds for her fourth consecutive double double. Junior guard Tiersa Winder (Baltimore, Md.) added 13 points and four rebounds, while freshman Ivory Bailey (Wyomissing, Pa.) put up 12 points and a career-best eight boards in just 23 minutes of action.

Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey (Bloomfield, Conn.) finished with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists despite battling foul trouble, while sophomore center Morgan Olander (Mansfield, Conn.) posted five points and a career-high 14 boards.
Sophie Bikofsky paced Brown with 21 points on 5-of-9 shooting from long range while Jordin Alexander finished with 18 points.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING
Bryant is off to its best start in Division I program history, posting a 4-1 record through five games for the first time since joining the Division I ranks in 2008-09.

RUCKIN' 'N ROLLIN'
Junior forward Breanna Rucker registered her fourth-straight and 14th career double double in Tuesday's victory at Brown, putting up a career-high 26 points to go along with 11 boards. The reigning Northeast Conference Player of the Week is off to as good of a start as anyone in the conference averaging nearly 20 ppg and 12.5 rpg in her last four contests. Rucker currently ranks 7th in the NEC in points per game (16.2 ppg) and second in the league in rebounding (10.6 rpg).

DROPPIN' DIMES
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey dished out a season-high (tied career high) eight assists in last Sunday's loss at Boston College, marking the eighth time in her career she has done so. Bailey currently ranks fourth in the NEC in assists per game with 5.2 apg.

MORE MORGAN
Sophomore center Morgan Olander has put together her best stretch as a Bulldog, averaging 10.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks through her first four games of this season. After putting up a double double in the season opener vs. Maine, Olander followed her performance up with 12 points, eight board and three blocks vs. Vermont on Nov. 18, and most recently tied a career-best 13 points and nine rebounds vs. Canisius on Friday. On Tuesday at Brown, Olander grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds to help lead Bryant to its fourth win in five games.

WINDEX
Always among the top rebounding teams in the Northeast Conference, Bryant once against sits near the top in almost every rebounding category in the NEC rankings. Outrebounding opponents by an average margin of 8.8rpg (first in NEC), the Bulldogs have outrebounded the opposition in all five games this season, averaging nearly 44 rpg.

STEEL CURTAIN
Through five games this season, the Bulldogs are allowing just 65 points per game, third among Northeast Conference opponents. Bryant is holding the opposition to just 41 percent shooting from the field and 26 percent from behind the 3-point line, both in the top four in the NEC. The Black and Gold have only allowed more than 70 points once in five games this season.
