FULL GAME NOTES

ON TAP AT NEWMAN ARENA
The Bryant University women's basketball team will look to extend its win streak to four games when it visits Ithaca, N.Y., for a Saturday afternoon showdown with the Cornell Big Red. Tip is set for 5 p.m.

THE SERIES
Saturday's contest in Ithaca will mark just the second meeting all-time between Cornell and Bryant. The first time around, the Big Red took down the Bulldogs, 66-55, on Nov. 29, 2008 at the URI Tournament in Kingston, R.I.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Selected to finish sixth in the 2014-15 Ivy League Preseason Poll, Cornell enters Saturday's contest with a 3-4 overall record having lost its last two decisions. Most recently, the Big Red squandered a late lead to drop a heartbreaker vs. Buffalo, 65-58, on Thursday.

Cornell is led by a pair of sophomore forwards in Nia Marshall and Nicole Ashton who both average double digits in points and seven rebounds per game. However, the Big Red boast a balanced attack with six players averaging at least 6.0 ppg and seven seeing at least 14 minutes of action per contest.

LAST TIME OUT
Four double-figure scorers helped lift the Bryant University women's basketball team to a come-from-behind 74-68 victory over Holy Cross, Wednesday evening at the Chace Athletic Center.
The Bulldogs (6-1) captured their third-straight win overall and just their second all-time against the Crusaders (1-7) in a gritty showdown in Smithfield.

All tied up, 59-59, a Moly Hourigan layup put Holy Cross up a bucket at the 3:24 mark, until a Breanna Rucker (Cincinnati, Ohio) free throw and back-to-back 3's fromTiersa Winder (Baltimore, Md.) and Ivory Bailey (Wyomissing, Pa.) quickly lifted Bryant to a 66-61 edge with 1:40 left on the clock.

The two teams traded free throws, briefly preserving the Bulldogs' five-point edge, until a Lisa Misfud 3-pointer brought the Crusaders within two. A crucial steal with 23 seconds left by Ivory Bailey and clutch free throw shooting helped seal the 74-68 victory for the Black and Gold.

Ivory Bailey led Bryant with 19 points to go along with six rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Jenniqua Bailey (Bloomfield, Conn.) turned in her first double double of the season with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Sophomore center Morgan Olander (Mansfield, Conn.) added a career-high 15 points and eight rebounds with Winder posting 15 points and five boards.

Rucker finished with seven points, five boards and three steals, while Maureen Leahy (Springfield, Pa.) registered a season-high six points off the bench.

Raquel Scott paced Holy Cross with a game-high 26 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, while Katie Doherty finished with 10 points.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING
Bryant is off to its best start in Division I program history, posting a 6-1 record through seven games for the first time since the 1987-88 season. Only four other teams in the program's 38-year history have started 6-1, with the best 10-game start standing at 9-1, a feat accomplished during the 1982-83 season.

DOUBLE DIP
Senior PG Jenniqua Bailey put up her second-career double double in Wednesday's win over Holy Cross posting 12 points and 10 rebounds. Through seven games, Bailey is averaging 17.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and 5.6 apg making her the only player to average at least 10 ppg, 5 rpg, and 5 apg in the Northeast Conference.

SHOOTING WOES? SAYS WHO?
The Bulldogs have been outshot from the field percentage wise in six of seven games this season, yet they post a record of 5-1 in those games. The lone game Bryant outshot its opponent was the season opener vs. Maine (Nov. 14) in which the Black and Gold shot .404 compared to Maine's .382.

STARTING FIVE
All five Bulldog starters (Jenniqua Bailey, Tiersa Winder, Ivory Bailey, Breanna Rucker, and Morgan Olander) are averaging at least 10 points per game enter Saturday's game and are a perfect record of 6-0 this season when they start as a unit. The Bulldogs are unbeaten (6-0) when Olander, who missed the Nov. 23 contest at Boston College, is in the starting lineup.

BRYANT VS. THE IVY LEAGUE
Usually a staple on the Bryant women's hoops schedule, the Bulldogs play just two Ivy League opponents this season (at Brown, at Cornell). The Black and Gold escaped Providence with a 67-60 win over the Bears on Nov. 25 and will look to improve to 2-0 vs. the Ivy's on Saturday vs. the Big Red. Over the past two seasons, Bryant has posted a 4-4 overall record vs. Ivy League opponents.

WINDEX
Always among the top rebounding teams in the Northeast Conference, Bryant once against sits near the top in almost every rebounding category in the NEC rankings. Outrebounding opponents by an average margin of 8.7 rpg (first in NEC), the Bulldogs have outrebounded the opposition in all six games this season, averaging nearly 43 rpg. The Black and Gold have outrebounded their opponent in all seven games this season.

BAILEY DROPS 35
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey put up a career-high 35 points on 11-of-14 shooting in Sunday's win over Providence College. The 35 points marks the most since Courtney Schissler's 36 points at Saint Francis U. on Jan. 13, 2014 and is tied for the fifth most points in a single game in program history.

THE BIG THREE
The combination of Jenniqua Bailey, Breanna Rucker, and Tiersa Winder are currently combining for nearly 50 of Bryant's 74 points per game (64 percent). The trio all currently ranks in the top 10 in the Northeast Conference in scoring while only one other team has at least two players in the top 10.

EARNING 'EM AT THE LINE
After going 13-of-18 from the free throw line in the Nov. 30 win over PC, Jenniqua Bailey enters Saturday's contest 54-of-80 from the charity stripe on the season. Last season, Bailey set a Division I program record for free throws made and attempted (117-170) in a season and is currently on pace to go 224-for-331 this year.

BRYANT VS. POWER CONFERENCES
The Bulldogs' victory over Providence College on Sunday marked the first win over a team from a power conference in program history. Prior to Sunday's win, Bryant had posted a 0-4 record against power conference teams.

MILESTONE WATCH
Averaging 17 points per game this season, senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey enters Saturday's contest needing just 41 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone. Bailey would become the 22nd player in program history to reach the milestone and just the third to do so all at the Division I level.

WELCOME TO THE CENTURY CLUB
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey appeared in her 100th career game on Nov. 30 vs. PC, becoming just the eighth player in Division I program history to do so. Bailey is within reach of breaking the all-time program record for games played in a career (121), a mark currently held by Dede Fogarty (2001-05).

DROPPIN' DIMES
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey dished out a season and career-tying eight assists in the Nov. 30 win vs. Providence College, marking the ninth time in her career, and second time this season, she has done so. Bailey currently ranks fourth in the NEC in assists per game with 5.6 apg.
