The Bryant women's basketball will welcome Mount St. Mary's for the first time this season on Monday for a 5 p.m. showdown in Smithfield, R.I.

THE SERIES
Monday evening marks the 10th meeting all-time between Bryant and Mount St. Mary's with the Mount holding a commanding 7-2 lead over the Bulldogs dating back to the 2008-09 season, Bryant's first as a Division I program.

Last year, the Mountaineers swept the Bulldogs, overcoming a 30-point outburst from Jenniqua Bailey on Jan. 25 for an 84-79 overtime victory in Emmitsburg, Md, before earning the 84-78 win in Smithfield on Feb. 22. The Bulldogs last win vs. the Mount came on Feb. 18, 2013 in Emmitsburg.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
Mount St. Mary's enters Monday's contest with a 7-15 overall record, 5-6 against Northeast Conference opponents. After going 2-9 in the non-conference, Mount won five of its first seven NEC games to open a 5-2 league mark. However, they will look to snap a four-game losing streak dating back to Jan. 26 on Monday.

Senior guard Jacqueline Brewer leads her team with 14 points per game to go along with four rebounds per contest. One of the best 3-point shooters in the league, Brewer enters Monday's contest shooting at a 41 percent clip from deep. Classmate Jen Carney ranks second on the team with 11.2 ppg with 2.4 rpg and 2.0 assists per game. Junior Sarafina Arthur-Williams leads the squad on the glass with 6.3 rpg to go along with 7.2 ppg and classmate Jody Chickey dishes out a team-high 2.6 apg.

As a team, Mount averages just under 56 ppg and shoots 37 percent from the field while allowing over 66 ppg and 43 percent shooting to its opponents.
