SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's basketball team travels to New Britain, Conn. for its second game in the Bulldog's four-game road stretch. Bryant will meet with Central Connecticut for the second time this season after topping the Blue Devils last week, 72-60.

Bryant meets with Central Connecticut for the second time this season in New Britain on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
Since the last meeting, Central Connecticut has topped LIU Brooklyn, 63-57, improving their record to 2-6 in conference play.
The Blue Devil's leading scorer Kianna Patterson scored 24 points against the Blackbirds after dropping 16 against Bryant. Emma McCamus has proven to be a scorer off the bench for the Blue Devils compiling a season-high 19 points against the Black and Gold. McCamus has continued to score in double-figures scoring 12 against LIU Brooklyn.
Beryl Piper leads Central Connecticut in her 11th season.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday marks the 21st time in history that the two teams have met as Bryant topped Central Connecticut earlier this season, 72-60. Sophomore Hannah Scanlan (Rumson, N.J.) posted her first double-double of the year with 17 points, 12 rebounds. Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W. Va.) also contributed with double-double efforts
History shows that Bryant has struggled to beat the Blue Devils on their home court as CCSU leads the series record in New Britain, 6-4.

Bryant fell to Fairleigh Dickinson, 63-53, in the Garden State on Monday.
Juniors Sydney Holloway and Masey Zegarowski (Hamilton, Mass.) led the Bulldogs scoring in double-figures. Holloway scored a game-high 20 points as Zegarowski added 15.
ZEGA-WHO?
Junior guard Masey Zegarowski has been a major contributor for the Bulldogs during their conference schedule. In Bryant's conference opener against LIU Brooklyn, Zegarowski posted a season-high 16 points. She has followed up her performance scoring in double-figures in all but two conference games so far this season. Most recently, the Massachusetts native was one point shy from tying her season-high as she scored 15 points at FDU shooting 7-of-11 from the field.
20/20 VISION
Sydney Holloway has posted two 20/20 games this season against Brown (11/8) and St. Francis Brooklyn (1/7). Holloway has also posted six 20-point games and an added 20-rebound performance againt Brown (12/1). The junior has most recently posted back-to-back 20-point games against conference foes Central Connecticut and Fairleigh Dickinson.
HANNAH SPELLED BACKWARDS SPELLS HANNAH
Sophomore Hannah Scanlan has led Bryant in scoring for three games straight in January and tallied her first double-double of the season with a season-high 17 points, 12 rebounds against CCSU.
BRAVO!
Freshman Trinity Bravo (Bridgeport, Conn.) has started seeing more minutes as the conference schedule progresses. Bravo had a career game against Saint Francis U posting 6 points, 7 rebounds in 26 minutes of play. Bravo grabbed the second-most rebounds at Fairleigh Dickinson with 6.
DEFENSE IS KEY
In all six of Bryant's wins, the Bulldogs have kept their opponents under 70 points. Bryant has also kept four of the six NEC teams that they have faced under its scoring average.
BOARDING SCHOOL
Bryant is second in the NEC with 42.2 rebounds per game and first in the conference with 14.2 offensive rebounds per game. Holloway leads the Bulldogs and the conference with 228 rebounds ranking her 12th in the country. The junior forward also leads the conference with most offensive rebounds a game with five as she ranks seventh in the country in that category.
