Gallagher, Perkins earn All-NEPSAC

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University women's basketball incoming freshmen ended their high school careers on a high note as both Nicole Gallagher (Foxboro, Mass.) and Alana Perkins (Wauwatosa, Wis.) earned All-NEPSAC honors.

Gallagher finished her high school career earning Class A All-NEPSAC honors after leading Tabor Academy to a 25-2 finish. Tabor Academy fell to Worcester Academy, 70-59 in the AA Finals as Gallagher dropped 27 points in the finale.

Perkins was named Class C All-NEPSAC after closing her high school career at Wilbraham Monson Academy. She led her team to the Class C semifinal after draining an NBA-range three with just 19 seconds to go to top the Ethel Walker School, 49-46.

"We are excited to see incoming freshmen, Nicole and Alana, have such outstanding senior campaigns and rep the recognition from their peers," said head Coach Mary Burke. "They are talented, hardworking players who will fill voids in our team after graduation. Their commitment to excellence will help maintain a high level of expectation that goes along with being a member of the program."
