THE MATCHUP
Bryant hosts all four Division I programs from Rhode Island at the Chace Athletic Center for the fourth annual Ocean State Tip-Off Tournament this weekend. The Bulldogs are set to square off with Providence to kick off the tournament on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. The two teams met last season in the Rhode Island-based tournament in the consolation game where PC topped the Bulldogs, 72-64.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Saturday, Dec. 7: Bryant vs. Providence at 12 p.m. | Rhode Island vs. Brown at 2 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8: Consolation Game at 12 p.m. | Championship Game at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
Providence dropped its first game of the year this past Tuesday when the Friars visited Yale to complete a previously suspended game from Nov. 5 due to scoreboard malfunctions. The two teams resumed play at halftime with Providence leading, 42-33, but Yale surpassed the Friars, 82-79.

Providence leads the Big East and is among the top ten in the country with an impressive 49.2 field goal percentage. Unanimous Preseason All-BIG EAST Team sophomore Mary Baskerville leads the Friars with 61.3 percent from the field off 19-of-31 shooting. However, Baskerville has only appeared in Providence's first three games of the season.

LAST TIME OUT: UMASS LOWELL
In just the second home game of the season for the Black and Gold, the Bulldogs fell to UMass Lowell, 55-35, on Monday night. The River Hawks erased an 18-point first-half deficit with a 46-8 run to close out the game. Bryant was unable to score a single point in the fourth quarter and didn't post a single double-digit scorer in the 20-point setback. Despite the loss, senior Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W.Va.) became Bryant's Division I Leading Scorer with a short jumper at the 5:54 mark in the first quarter. Holloway finished the game with seven points off two-of-eight shooting and three from the stripe. Freshman Alana Perkins (Wauwatosa, Wis.) led the Bulldogs in points with nine off three-of-five shooting from beyond the arc.

ON THE RISE
Holloway became Bryant's leading scorer in its Division I era surpassing Breanna Rucker '16. Rucker's previously held record was set at 1,395 points, but Holloway's seven-point performance against UMass Lowell put her over the edge at 1,401 career points.

ALANA PERKINS FOR THREE
Perkins led the Bulldogs at Holy Cross with a career-high 21 points. The rookie netted six three-pointers becoming the first Bulldog to net six three's in a single game since Ivory Bailey in 2016. Perkins has tallied three or more three-pointers in Bryant's last four games posting a total three-point percentage of 45.7 off 16-of-35 shooting so far this season.
