Bryant to make AE playoff debut at UVM on Wednesday

BURLINGTON, VT. - The Bryant University women's basketball team makes their America East playoff debut on the road against the number one-seeded Catamounts of Vermont on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs and Catanaounts series is tied at four, with UVM winning both conference games this season.

UVM heads into Wednesday's matchup with a 22-6 overall record and a conference record of 14-2. They're currently on a 14-game win streak. Kayla Cooper, Anna Olson, and Emma Utterback were named to the All-Conference first team. Delaney Richardson received third-team honors.

  • Mariona Planes Fortuny capped off her season by earning All-conference second team and a spot on the All-defensive team. 
  • Nicole Gallagher is 14 points away from reaching 1,000 career points. She would become the 7th player in program history to achieve this.
  • Marta Neira Martinez has been a force on the glass in conference play, averaging 4.7 RPG and 66 total.
  • Kemari Reynolds has put together a good year at the helm. She ranks top-three in the AE in Assist/TO ratio (1.67) and steals per game with 1.83.
  • Alana Perkins is 37.5% from deep, which ranks third in the conference and 77th in the country. She averages 2.11 per game.
