SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After a stellar performance against Central Connecticut State that saw the Bryant University women's lacrosse team take a 12-8 win over its future conference foe, the Bulldogs return to the road Friday afternoon for a 4 p.m. matchup with another Northeast Conference opponent in Quinnipiac at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf in Hamden, Conn.

Wednesday's win moved the Bulldogs to 3-6 overall, thanks in part to a record-setting performance by goalie Jessica Bolton (Belgrade Lakes, Maine), while Bryant earned its second win over a future NEC rival. Allison Faiola (Billerica, Mass.) and Lauren Albert (South Windsor, Conn.) each recorded a trio of goals in the effort while Mary Green (Merrick, N.Y.) and Delia Glover (Marston Mills, Mass.) deposited two apiece in the victory.

The Bulldogs look to continue their winning ways Friday afternoon against a tough Bobcat side that has suffered just a pair of losses on the 2009 season. Quinnipiac (5-2, 2-1 NEC) enters Friday's bout fresh off a convincing 22-10 win over conference rival Long Island on Sunday.

Quinnipiac is led by 20 goals from Nicole Fiore, who adds eight assists on the year. The Bobcats boast four scorers with double-digit tallies, as Ashley Valentine (16g, 3a), Tiffany Manzi (12g, 4a) and Marissa Caroleo (13g, 2a) join Fiore in carrying much of the scoring load. Katie Latonick also poses a threat in the attacking end as the quarterback of the offense, dishing out a team-high 11 assists on the year.
