DeMeo tabbed NEC Player of the Week
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After scoring 11 goals in two games last week, including a Division I record eight against Harvard, junior Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) was named Northeast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
In addition to her record-breaking performance, DeMeo scored three goals in the Ocean State Cup on Wednesday, all of which came in a second half that saw the Black and Gold erase a six-goal deficit.
This is DeMeo's second Player of the Week honor this season and her 10th overall weekly honor in her career. She leads the team with 19 goals on the season while chipping in three assists for a total of 22 points.
Bryant continues their road trip this weekend when they head to Western New York to take on Canisius on Thursday and then visit Niagara on Saturday.
