SCOUTING THE BLACKBIRDS
LIU Brooklyn is 4-7 on the year and has won three straight games after a 14-10 victory at Central Connecticut in Friday's conference opener. The Blackbirds also hold victories over Hartford, Presbyterian and Lafayette.

Amanda Masullo leads the NEC in goals (35) and points (47), just ahead of the Bulldogs' Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) in goals and Caitlin Breglia (Long Beach, N.Y.) in points. Rachel Masullo has added 28 goals and 12 assists for LIU, which ranks fifth in the NEC in goals per game (11.27) and fourth in scoring defense (13.20).

THE SERIES
Bryant is 9-1 in the all-time series and has won the last nine meetings. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in Smithfield.

Jess DeMeo scored five goals in last year's meeting in Brooklyn to help Bryant to a 13-9 victory in its final regular-season game at LIU Field. The Bulldogs led 6-5 at the half before back-to-back goals from Caitlin Bolen (Queensbury, N.Y.) assured Bryant of at least a two-goal lead the rest of the way.

LAST TIME OUT: BRYANT 20, SACRED HEART 8
Senior Jess DeMeo scored six goals and juniors Caitlin Breglia and Maggie Pressler (Smithfield, R.I.) added six points each to help Bryant to a season-high 20 goals Friday in Fairfield. The Bulldogs allowed a season-low eight goals.

AN A-PLUS EFFORT FROM LB
Senior Lauren Britton (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) corralled 14 draw controls in Bryant's win at Sacred Heart, breaking the single-game program record set by senior Meredith James (Essex Fells, N.J.) last season at Niagara. Britton's 14 draws were the most by an NEC player since 2016.

HALF-DOZEN FOR DeMEO
Senior Jess DeMeo scored six goals Friday, marking the sixth time in her career DeMeo has scored six or more in a game. DeMeo is one of two NEC players with multiple six-goal games this season and ranks second in the conference with 33 goals on the year.

HERE TO HELP
Juniors Caitlin Breglia and Maggie Pressler enter Sunday atop the NEC's assist leaderboard. Breglia's 22 lead the conference while Pressler's 16 are tied for second.

THAT DON'T IM-PRESS ME MUCH
Junior Maggie Pressler has doubled her career assist total over her last five games, helping on 12 Bryant goals while also scoring four.

Pressler is one four players in the NEC with 3+ games of 3+ assists – a list that impressively includes two Bulldogs with junior Caitlin Breglia.
