Kaut Named NEC Player of the Week For Second Time

SOMERSET, N.J.- Bryant women's lacrosse sophomore Kenna Kaut has been named NEC Player of the Week for the second time this season. She tied her season high of five goals on Saturday, doing so on just seven shots to lead the Bulldogs to a conference opening win over Mount St. Mary's.

Kaut added an assist for a team high six points in the game. She also contributed two ground balls, two draw controls, and a caused turnover in the 14-10 win. Her 3.67 goals per game are the most in the NEC and 17th most in the nation. She's scored five goals in two of the last three games.

Skylar Simmonds was also named an NEC Prime Performer after scoring three goals and dishing two assists against the Mountaineers. It was the third hat trick on the year for Simmonds, who ranks second in the NEC with 3.40 goals per game.
