Bulldogs Traveling to UMBC on Saturday

BALTIMORE, Md.- The Bryant University women's lacrosse team will look for back-to-back conference wins this Saturday when they travel to Maryland to take on UMBC at noon. The Bulldogs won their first America East game last Saturday, defeating UMass Lowell 18-5 at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Oliver was named America East Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after totaling six goals and six assists last week against Brown and UML. She led the Bulldogs with three goals and four assists against the River Hawks, setting a career high with seven points. 

  • Kenna Kaut scored four times against UMass Lowell, her seventh game this year with four or more goals. She is averaging 4.22 goals per game this year, the fourth most in the country. Her 2.97 career goals per game are currently the most in program history.

  • Ashlyn Watkins made her first career start in goal against UML, saving six shots against four goals allowed in three quarters between the pipes.

Scouting the Retrievers

  • UMBC is 6-3 overall with an 0-1 record in America East. They fell 18-13 at home to Binghamton last weekend.

  • Players to Watch: Junior goalkeeper Isabella Fontana leads the America East in saves and save percentage, while senior attack Claire Bockstie is the league leader in points and shots.

  • The Bulldogs and Retrievers will be facing off for the first time in program history.
