Bulldogs compete at Head of Charles

BOSTON - The Bryant University women's rowing team took part in the women's club 4s at the Head of Charles regatta this past weekend.

Despite the heavy rains and another team's aggressive line causing a minor collision early on in the race, the Black and Gold were able to move up six places in the race and finish with a time of 20:48.73.

The rowers for the Bulldogs this weekend consisted of Gabrielle Martino at coxswain with Mollie Lyjte, Megan Hart, Sunny Kuechle, and Sarah Oakes in the stroke seats.

Coach's Comments on the race…

"I'm very pleased to see how our Bryant lineup did this weekend, and to have their entire team there to support them at such an iconic event. There are so many different factors that are out of our control during race day situations, especially starting so far back in the pack at the Head of the Charles, but the athletes handled themselves well. It was exciting to see them charging through some boats in the last push to the finish line, and to see how much they are maturing as rowers and as racers each time they have the opportunity to compete."
