Bulldogs take three top 3 finishes at Assumption Duals

WORCESTER, MA - The Bryant University women's rowing team raced to three top 3 finishes on Saturday at the Assumption Duals.

 The Bulldogs competed against Coast Guard, Bowdoin, Mt. Holyoke, Simmons, and Assumption at the regatta.

How it Happened

The Varsity 8+ squad started the day out for the Black and Gold. The team of Gabrielle Martino (coxswain), Mollie Lytje (stroke seat), Megan Hart (7 seat), Bridget Moore (6 seat), Sunny Kuechle (5 seat), Sarah Bullock (4 seat), Calla Puccetti (3 seat), Monica Garbacz (2 seat), and Sarah Oakes (bow seat) placed third in the race with a time of 7:28.20. The team beat out the fourth place Mt.Holyoke by just over 13 seconds and was 12 seconds off first place Coast Guard.

Bryant fielded two boats in the Varsity 4+ race. The Bryant 'B' team placed second, just 8 seconds off first place Bowdoin, with a time of 8:36.04. The Bryant 'A' team was just five seconds behind them in third place with a time of 8:41.76. The 'A' finished nearly a minute and a half ahead of fourth place Assumption.

The V4+ 'A' team consisted of Brooke Hammond at coxswain, Erin Prouty at stroke seat, Olivia Manuel in the 3 seat, Jordan Grady in the 2 seat, and Aine McIntyre at bow seat. Gabrielle Martino (coxswain), Bridget Moore (stroke seat), Sunny Kuechle (3 seat), Kristia King (2 seat), and Addison Morin (bow seat) all made up the 'B' team.
