TERRIERS TOO MUCH FOR BULLDOGS IN NON-CONFERENCE MATCHUP, FALL 7-0 IN BOSTON
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - In the first-ever meeting between the two programs, the Boston University women's soccer team proved to be too much for Bryant on Wednesday afternoon at Nickerson Field as they defeated the Bulldogs 7-0.
The Terriers (11-5-2, 6-1-0 AE) received goals from seven different players as they upended the Bulldogs (3-10-1, 1-4-1 NEC) Wednesday afternoon in Boston. Three different players registered both a goal and an assist. The Terriers continued their high-offensive attack and have now scored 32 goals on the year. BU will enter the America East Conference championships as either the one or two seed.
The Bulldogs were outshot 28-6 in the contest. Both Bryant keepers saw one half of action with senior Katie Mitchell (Deer Park, N.Y.) registering five saves and freshman Kelsi Jacob (Mahwah, N.J.) recording two in the second half.
Bryant continues their five-game road streak when they travel to Loretto, Pa. to take on Northeast Conference foe Saint Francis (Pa.) on Friday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.
