Bulldogs battle Knights Friday under the lights

Smithfield, R.I. – After holding Mount St. Mary's to a draw in their latest match in Smithfield, the Bryant University women's soccer team travels to take on Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs (4-9-2, 3-1-1) are off to an impressive start in conference play, defeating Sacred Heart and Wagner at home and Robert Morris on the road. The Black and Gold will face one of their toughest league opponents in the Knights (11-5, 5-0), who currently sit atop the leader board, after starting conference play at 5-0.

The Knights have scored in all but one match, with Carly Tice and Rache Hoekstra leading their offensive effort with 10 goals respectively. Tice has also dished out six helpers, while Hoekstra has added a pair of assists.

Felicia Burr has appeared in net in all 16 games for the Knights, allowing 24 goals off 79 opponent attempts.

The Bulldogs have utilized a more spread out attack, with the offensive production coming from a number of players. Senior Scout Benson (Lynnfield, Mass.) continues to top the points chart with three off one goal and one assist, while also rattling off 12 of 21 shots on target.

Junior Kaylan Conrad (Avon, Conn.) remains in goal for the Black and Gold, allowing only 17 goals off 84 opponent attempts.
