Bulldogs, Guilmette recognized in New England Soccer Journal Weekly Rankings

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior Alison Guilmette (Coventry, R.I.) was recognized by the New England Soccer Journal for her play this week, coming in at 10th in their weekly player rankings, while the Bulldogs as a team were ranked No. 10 in New England after this week.

Guilmette recorded an assist on a cross to Remi Manna (Pleasantville, N.Y.) in the 30th minute of Thursday's match with Maine, which tied the match at one apiece.

The Bulldogs would go on to score in the 77th minute to win their fourth game of the season, extending their historic start to 4-1-1 on the season. Bryant entered the rankings this week for the first time this year, joining the ranks with teams like Providence, Northeastern and Connecticut.

Guilmette has already set a career high with three assists just a third of the way into the season and is one point away from tying her career high in points for a campaign. Her assists in back to back games against Stony Brook and Maine was the third time in her time as a Bulldog that she's recorded points in consecutive games, achieving the feat twice last season as a sophomore.

The New England Soccer Journal is an online and print magazine that covers everything soccer in the New England region, from the New England Breakers and New England Revolution, to high school and prep schools in the area. The print editions are monthly, whereas online player and team rankings appear online at www.nesoccerjournal.com.
