Donaghy named in New England Soccer Journal's Midseason XI

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior defender Brigitte Donaghy (Toronto, Ontario) was named to the New England Soccer Journal's annual Midseason XI, the magazine announced on Wednesday.

The Midseason XI highlights 11 of New England's best players at the midway point of each campaign, and Donaghy was one of three defenders named, along with Central Connecticut State's Jennifer Cafferky and Boston University's Rachel Bloznalis.

The senior has anchored a Bryant back line that has allowed just five goals and recording five clean sheets in nine games this season on their way to a 6-1-2 start. The Ontario native became the 10th player in the Bulldogs Division I era to start 50 games and has started 31 consecutive games for the Bryant defense.

Donaghy leads the Bulldogs and their NEC-best 0.56 goals against average into conference play this weekend, when they head to Pennsylvania to play Robert Morris on Friday and Saint Francis U on Sunday.
