Bryant rounds out non-conference schedule in Vermont Sunday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's soccer team wraps up its non-conference schedule on Sunday afternoon when they play a road match with Vermont.

The Series

Bryant has won three of the four matchups in this series that dates back to 1987. Four different scorers scored in a 30 minute span in last year's game, giving Bryant a 4-1 win in Smithfield, R.I.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

Bryant is coming off an overtime loss on Thursday afternoon, when Binghamton scored in the 94th minute to beat the Bulldogs 1-0. This dropped Bryant to 3-4 on the season.

Sophomore Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) made six saves in regulation, increasing her total to 32 on the season. She sports a 1.71 goals-against average and .727 save percentage.

The Black and Gold have five players who have found the net this season, led by senior Cayla D'Amico (Grafton, Mass.) who has scored three times and added an assist for the Bulldogs. She is third in the league in points per game and fourth in goals per game.

Freshman Lexi Kraemer (Forest Hill, Md.) has chipped in a pair of goals during her inaugural season with the Bulldogs.

A bit about the Catamounts

After losing four of their first five matches of this season, Vermont enters on a two-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 win at Sacred Heart and a scoreless draw at Brown in their last two outings.

Aly Spencer leads the Cats with a pair of goals this season, burying a pair of penalty kicks in their season-opening draw with American.

Ella Bankert scored the winner against the Pioneers, the lone victory for the Catamounts this season as they enter with a 1-4-2 record.

Kacey Lambertson has started all seven games in net for Vermont, recording a 1.12 goals-against average and .826 save percentage in just under 643 minutes between the posts.
