Spitaleri earns United Soccer Coaches All-North honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bryant University women's soccer sophomore Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) was named Third Team All-North Region forward by the United Soccer Coaches' Association.

A Second Team All-NEC honoree, Spitaleri is the second Bulldog in history to earn this honor as sophomore Jamie Irwin (Succasunna, N.J.) also earned Third Team All-East Region last season as a freshman.

Spitaleri is one of six Northeast Conference players to make the list as Central Connecticut placed a player on First Team and two on Second. Fairleigh Dickinson and Saint Francis U also placed one each on Third Team.

The New York native recorded five goals this season, three of which being game winners, placing her second in the Bryant record book for most goals scored in a single season in the Division I era. The sophomore earned a Player of the Week nod after recording Bryant's first ever hat trick to help the Bulldogs top LIU Brooklyn, 3-0.

The Bulldogs finished the season with a record of 8-7-1. Bryant tied Fairleigh Dickinson for fourth in the NEC but missed the postseason tournament due to a tiebreaker.
