Bryant blanks SFU, 2-0, to open weekend

LORETTO, Pa. – The Bryant University women's soccer team posted its first clean sheet of the season and earned its first-ever victory on the road against Saint Francis U, 2-0, Friday afternoon.

Juniors Katie Cronin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) scored goals, while classmate Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) made two saves for the shutout.

Coach Biggs' Comment

"Today was our most complete performance of the season. We passed well and scored a great goal in each half – really good finishes from Katie and Amanda. Defensively, we made really good choices with our pressure and were consistent for 90 minutes. The lines of our team were well connected and our defending was as confident as our attack."
