Dawgs earn program's first America East win against Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT. - The Bryant University women's soccer team picked up the program's first ever America East win with a 1-0 victory over the University of Vermont.

Coach's comments on the win...

"I thought we played some very good soccer again tonight and showed that we are continuing to grow as a team as we apply the lessons we learn each week. We worked very hard from start to finish and the team showed its toughness and togetherness to come away witha 1-0 shutout on the road against a determined conference opponent."

  • 47th minute - Bryant 1, Vermont 0  - Madison Luke sent a ball into the box that the Catamounts failed to clear. Catie Bean took advantage of Vermont's mistake and picked up the bouncing ball in the box. She took one touch off her body then volleyed the ball home into the lower left corner.
