Zaslaw nets brace to help secure 5-2 win over Chicago State

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University women's soccer team finished out their non-conference schedule with a 5-2 win over Chicago State on Thursday night.

Game Information
Bryant 5, Chicago State 2
Records: Bryant (7-5-3, 2-3-2), Chicago State (3-11)
Location: Smithfield, RI (Beirne Stadium)

Coach's comments on the win...

"We were focused from the start and played some excellent soccer in the attack and on defense throughout the first half. The result was three very good goals as well as a fourth that was also well taken and should have coutned. Our level dipped just a bit at the start of the second half and it took us until late in the game to start to approach our best form once again. That said, we kept going for the full 90 and showed a bit of a ruthless streak to finish the game off with two good goals to put the game away."

Key Moment

  • Freshman Samantha Zaslaw scored a brace to help put the game out of reach for the Cougars.
