BULLDOG WOMEN EARN 2012 SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA TEAM HONORS

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team is among 143 Division I women's squads named 2012 Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Qualifying teams finished the 2011-12 year with a team grade point average of 3.0 or above. The Bulldogs were one of five teams out of the Northeast Conference to make it onto the prestigious list (Wagner, Saint Francis (PA), Mount St. Mary's, CCSU), and Bryant was also joined by each of Rhode Island's three other Division I programs (Providence College, Brown, URI). This is the second-consecutive Scholar All-America selection for the Black and Gold.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming at the collegiate level.
