BRYANT WOMEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO NAVY 4-3 SATURDAY

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women’s tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 non-conference decision to visiting Navy Saturday afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Complex. 

The Bulldogs dropped the opening doubles point despite a victory by Katie Francazio and Dana Tausek at No. 3 doubles as the duo defeated Lindsay Olsen and Julie Dias 8-3.

In singles play, freshman standout Claudia Hidalgo continued her stellar play as she picked up a strong 6-3, 6-0 win over Emani Decquir.  Irma Rodriguez and Chelsea Downing also turned in solid performances with wins at No.5 and No. 6 singles respectively. 

The Bulldogs travel to Manhattan on Sunday.
