Crimson top Bulldogs, 4-0, on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to Harvard on Saturday in Cambridge.

The Bulldogs (0-7) are still in search of their first win of the spring season, after the Crimson (7-5) jumped out to an early lead, sweeping in doubles play to capture the first point. Three games went unfinished in singles play, after the Crimson earned points at No. 1, 3 and 4 singles.

Senior Marion Bouillin (San Diego, Calif.) was dealt a 6-1, 6-1 defeat by June Lee in the No. 1 slot. Junior Nina Luiggi (Nottingham, England) fell, 6-0, 6-1, to Irene Lu at No. 3 singles, while senior Ryan Brown (Austin, Texas) lost, 6-0, 6-3, to Natasha Gonzalez at No. 4.

Next week, the Bulldogs will face Navy, Fordham and Saint Joseph's in the Spring Break Tournament in Orlando, Fla.
