Women's tennis hosts Sacred Heart on Senior Day

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team wraps up its regular season on Sunday as it hosts Sacred Heart at Fore Court in Cumberland.

Prior to the match, the Bulldogs will honor their four-member senior class.

  • The quartet came to Bryant in 2014-15, helping the Bulldogs win their first-ever Northeast Conference championship that spring.
  • Freshman Arianna Oropeza (Weston, Fla.) brings a team-best 11 wins into Sunday's match. She is a two-time NEC Rookie of the Week selection.

  • The Pioneers enter Sunday with an 8-10 overall record and a 3-1 mark in NEC play.
  • Brianne Lauria has played the most at No. 1, going 8-7 in dual matches.
  • Lauria teams with Olivia Podsiebierski to form Sacred Heart's top doubles team as well. They are 9-7 in dual matches.
