Women's Tennis picked second in preseason coaches poll
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team has been picked to finish second according to the annual Northeast Conference Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll.
Bryant advanced to the NEC title match for the third time in program history last spring and received two of a possible eight first-place votes.
The Bulldogs have advanced to the NEC title match in three of the last four seasons and return the 2018 NEC Rookie of the Year, Arianna Oropeza (Weston, Fla.).
Defending champ LIU Brooklyn received five first-place votes, while Fairleigh Dickinson received the other first-place vote.
Bryant is 3-1 in dual matches so far this season and hosts the Blackbirds at Rally Point on February 23.
