Bulldogs drop hard-fought match with FDU Sunday
TEANECK, N.J. – The Bryant University women's tennis team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson, 5-2, on Sunday morning.
How it Happened
- Bryant and FDU split the first two spots in doubles before the Knights were able to grab the point with a victory at No. 3. That match was a thriller as it finished 7-6 (6) in favor of the Knights.
- The Bulldogs would then pull even at 2-2 with victories at No. 1 and No. 5. Ada Boru (Istanbul, Turkey) won 6-3, 6-2 at 1 and Leanne Kendall (Lakeville, Mass.) won 6-4, 6-2 at 5.
- The Knights, however, were able to win three-set thrillers at 6, 3 and 4.
- Sarah Hickey (Toronto, Ont.) won the first set, 6-2, lost the second set, 6-3 and then dropped the third set in a tiebreak, 7-6 (2).
